WEBTOON Trailers
WEBTOON’s past trailers often followed a cut-and-paste formula, using light rigging and repurposed panel art from the comics. While not ineffective, the approach became predictable over time. I wanted to push beyond that and introduce what I called “Stylized Trailers.”
These trailers leaned into a more cinematic tone, featuring custom elements that didn’t appear in the original comics but stayed true to the series’ visual essence. I used this format to highlight key subplots and celebrate each story’s unique art and narrative style with greater visual care.
These projects remain some of my favorite works in my career; they combined storytelling, design, and innovation in a way that deeply resonated with both fans and creators.

WEBTOON partnered with Ubisoft to launch an original webcomic featuring Edward Kenway from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, titled Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple. As a longtime fan of the franchise, I was incredibly excited to work on this project.
I created the initial look and feel deck for my team and helped kick off production for the trailer. One of my goals was to bring in the iconic music from the game, and with Ubisoft’s permission, we were able to include it. I focused on highlighting the high-action, memorable moments fans love, like the dagger recoil and the signature eagle jump.
To balance the vibrant visuals of the webcomic, I leaned into a darker aesthetic for the trailer and used bold, dramatic typography to spotlight the core themes of the series. My team of motion designers brought everything to life beautifully, creating an engaging and cinematic trailer that honored the spirit of the IP.
